This Privacy Policy explains how SLY Teknoloji ("SLY Teknoloji", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Counto, our inventory counting mobile application, and related services available at counto.app (together, the "Service").
We built Counto to keep your data on your device by default. We designed this policy to be clear and to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Apple App Store guidelines, and the Google Play Developer Program policies.

Who We Are
Counto is developed and operated by SLY Teknoloji. For the purposes of the GDPR, SLY Teknoloji is the data controller for the limited personal data processed through the Service.

Information We Collect
Counto is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. The information involved falls into the following categories.
Information you create in the app
When you use Counto, you create inventory count sessions that may include item names, barcode values you scan, quantities, notes, and similar count data. This content is created and controlled by you.
Data stored locally on your device
By default, your count sessions, scanned barcodes, settings, and reports are stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device unless you choose to back it up or export it.
Cloud backup data
If you enable cloud backup (a Counto Pro feature), a copy of your count data is stored in your own personal cloud account: Google Drive on Android or iCloud on iOS. These backups live in your account, under your control, and are governed by Google's or Apple's terms and privacy policies. SLY Teknoloji does not host or have access to a central copy of your backups.
Purchase and subscription data
When you buy Counto Pro, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your card number or payment details. We may receive a subscription or purchase status (for example, whether Pro is active) so the app can unlock the corresponding features.
Analytics data (if enabled)
If analytics is enabled, we may collect aggregated, non-identifying usage information — such as which features are used and basic device and app-version details — to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Analytics does not include the contents of your inventory counts.
Crash reporting (if enabled)
If crash reporting is enabled, we may collect diagnostic information when the app crashes — such as the error, device model, operating-system version, and app version — to find and fix problems. Crash reports do not include the contents of your inventory counts.
What We Do Not Collect
To be explicit, Counto does not:
- Collect financial information or bank account details.
- Process payments directly or store card data.
- Sell physical products.
- Provide inventory valuation, pricing, or accounting services.
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Provide and operate the Service and its core counting features.
- Enable optional features such as exports and cloud backup.
- Unlock Counto Pro features based on your purchase status.
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs (if crash reporting is enabled).
- Understand aggregate usage and improve the app (if analytics is enabled).
- Respond to your support requests.
Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you request, including Pro features.
- Consent — for optional analytics and crash reporting, where required. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or device settings.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and improve our product, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with applicable law.
Cloud Backup and Storage
Cloud backup is optional and off by default. When you enable it, Counto stores your backup in your own Google Drive or iCloud account using the permissions you grant on your device.
Because backups reside in your personal cloud account, you control them. You can review or delete them directly from Google Drive or iCloud, and you can revoke Counto's access at any time through your Google or Apple account settings.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
Analytics and crash reporting are designed to be optional. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before enabling them, and you can turn them off at any time.
These tools never include the contents of your inventory counts. They help us understand stability and usage at an aggregate level so we can improve Counto.
International Data Transfers
SLY Teknoloji operates from Türkiye, and our service providers (such as Apple and Google) may process data in countries outside your own, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Where personal data is transferred internationally, we and our providers use appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms — to protect your data in line with the GDPR.
Data Retention
Your local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud backups remain in your Google Drive or iCloud account until you delete them.
Optional analytics and crash data are retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, and then deleted or anonymized.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data (the "right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format. Counto already lets you export your counts as CSV, PDF, or Excel.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for optional analytics or crash reporting at any time.
- Complain — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data Deletion
You are in control of your data and can delete it at any time:
- Delete locally — remove individual count sessions in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
- Delete cloud backups — delete Counto backups directly from your Google Drive or iCloud account, and revoke the app's access in your Google or Apple settings.
- Request deletion — email support@slyteknoloji.com and we will help you delete any data associated with the Service that is within our control.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Local data benefits from your device's built-in protections, and cloud backups are protected by the security of your Google Drive or iCloud account, including encryption in transit.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. While we work to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to protect your device with a passcode and keep your operating system up to date.
Children's Privacy
Counto is a productivity tool intended for general business and personal inventory use. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16 (or the minimum age required in your country).
If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@slyteknoloji.com and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, the law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
